Happy New Year

Have a Happy New Year! As you can tell by my big smile I'm excited for a new year in my new home with my two new parents!

Clothes

I met the UPS driver today. Mommy said we're going to be good friends. Once she opened the boxI thought the opposite - there were clothes in there! Clothes? But I'm a dog, and a boy dog to boot!

Sadly my woobie snowman

died. He's been replaced pretty quickly with a penguin. I love the penguin. HE'S my new best friend!

Christmas Time

I now know what Christmas is about - new toys!!! Grandma Kathy gave me a whole BOX of toys, Aunt Shannon gave me ropes and snow men, Daddy gave me a snowman that I won't leave alone (Mommy calls it my woobie) and Santa brought me a stocking full of them. This is great! How soon is the next Christmas?

I'm Tired!

I'm a lot like my Mommy. We both like to sleep. A Lot! Mommy says it's because I'm a growing puppy I need all of my sleep. She never says why she sleeps so much!

First Bath

I didn't like it. Enough said!

My Green Blankie

I have a blankie that I love very much. I put it in my bed. I put it on Mommy & Daddy's bed. I take it with me when I go room to room. I love my blankie very much!

Cousin Georgia Take 2

Cousin Georgia came over today. I followed her around room by room to see all of the fun stuff her and Mommy do. After playing with the drums (which I wasn't scared of!), make up, hats and purses they sat on the couch to chill and play game boy. Georgia let me lay on her as she played. I was so worn out from following her around all day I feel asleep on her legs. I think we're going to be good friends!

Aunt Shannon's Tree

I got to go see my first Christmas tree today. SInce Mommy and Daddy don't put them up, or decorate, I didn't know what to expect. There were lots og new things for me to smell and try and eat but ommy was there to stop me.

Cousin Georgia

I got to meet my new Cousin Georgia today. I dont' know who freaked out who more! We're both a bit hyper. Aunt Shannon thinks Georgia was a bit jealous of the attention I was getting. She said something about her being the "Princess"!

Visit With Grammy

We went to Grandma Virginia's again today. I really like going there - lots of things for me to sniff and try to eat. I'm a puppy, everything goes into my mouth! It was a warm day today and Grammy had the heater kicked up so I improvised an air conditioning. I decided to take a dip in my water bowl to cool off!

My Namesake

Like the Shih Tzo before me I was names after a Peanuts character. Here's a bit about him:
Franklin met Charlie Brown at the beach in 1968. They'd never met before because they went to different schools, but they had fun playing ball so Charlie Brown invited Franklin to visit him at this house across town for another play session. Later, Franklin turned up as center-fielder on Peppermint Patty's baseball team and sits in front of her at school. Franklin is thoughtful and can quote the Old Testament as effectively as Linus. In contrast with the other characters, Franklin has the fewest anxieties and obsessions. He and Charlie Brown spend quite a bit of time talking about their respective grandfathers. When Franklin first appeared in the late 60s, his noticeably darker skin set some readers in search of a political meaning. However, the remarkable becomes unremarkable when readers learn that Schulz simply introduced Franklin as another character, not a political statement.

First Trip to Grandma's

I got to go to my Grandma Virginia's today! She lets me jump up and down on the couches and even up on her lap! She doesn't like it that much when I lick her face though. She told me to come back as often as I want to. I really miss her!

New Guy

Grandma Virginia gave us an early Merry Christmas this year! We'd like to introduce Franklin Charlie Lettiere. He was born on August 8th and we brought him home on November 30th to our crazy home. He's the sweetest little cuddle bug you've ever met!

RIP Charlie Brown

The loving, charming and mischievous Charlie Brown has sadly left our side. We couldn't have asked for a better dog to have had for the past 14 years. We'll miss him tremendously.
